GST-Tagged Protein Purification
Purification tool for batch, gravity flow, and FPLC applications
GST-Tagged Protein Purification Kit
Epitope tags such as glutathione-S-transferase (GST) are often used as tags for proteins for expression and purification applications. Glutathione-Superflow Resin selectively binds the GST-tagged protein under normal conditions, allowing the protein of interest to be separated from whole cell extracts rapidly and efficiently. A high degree of purification can be achieved in just one chromatographic step.
Main Features
- Easy to use - no optimization required
- Purifies more protein - high binding capacity (>10 mg of recombinant GST fusion protein per ml resin)
- Yields highly purified protein - eluted protein is free of cellular contaminants
- Reusable - easy protocol for regenerating and storing resin
- Save money - 30–40% less expensive than competing brands

GST-tagged protein purification from whole cell extracts. Whole cell extracts containing GST-DHFR (Panel A) and GST alone (Panel D) were loaded, washed, and eluted from glutathione resin columns. Then, the resulting purification fractions were analyzed by SDS-PAGE (Panels B and E) and Western blot with an anti-GST IgG (Panels C and F).
