1) Retroviral Packaging
The Retro-X Universal Packaging System is a premium retroviral packaging system featuring the GP2-293 packaging cell line what is very easy to transfect. The envelopes are supplied on separate vectors including VSV-G, ecotropic, amphotropic and dualtropic. The virions can be obtained in less than in 48 hours. Takara offers Retro-X System, Pantropic Retroviral Expression System and AmphoPack 293 Cell line.

 

2) Retroviral Transduction Tools

Retrovirus Concentration
Retro-X Concentrator has simple mix and spin protocol without need of ultracentrifugation. It provides a fast, simple and highly efficient method for concentrating any retroviral stock including MMLV or MSCV based retroviral supernatants.

 

Retrovirus Integration Site Analysis
Retro-X Integration Site Analysis Kit enables to identify the exact site of integration of recombinant retroviral vectors using GenomeWalker technology. It is compatible with most commercially retrovirus vectors.

 

Retrovirus Titration
Retro-X qRT-PCR Titration Kit provides a simple and fast method for measuring retroviral titer and enables to confirm the success of the retroviral packaging reaction.

 

Ecotropic and Amphotropic Receptor Boosters
Are used to temporarily elevate the viral receptor proteins on the surface of the target cell. It allows to efficiently transduce human cells with ecotropic retrovirus or lentivirus that otherwise can only infect rodent cells.

 

3) Retroviral Vectors

Constitutive Vectors
Retroviral vectors transduce a wide range of hard to transfect cells and the complete system includes PT67 packaging cell line.
Takara offers the Q-Series and L-Series of constitutive retroviral vectors.

 

Fluorescent Retroviral Vectors

Enables the retroviral transduction for hight efficiency gene delivery to a broad range of cell types. The bright red and green fluorescent proteins can be used for reporter studies as well it is ideal for fusion studies.

 

Tet- Inducible Expression Systems
Enables the induction control and low basal expression for a broad range of dividing cells. TRE3G promoter is optimized for very tight transcriptional control and the kit is supplied with the Retro-X Universal packaging system.

 

MSCV Retroviral System
The MSCV (murine stem cell virus) Retroviral Expression System contains the vectors optimized for introducing and expressing target genes in pluripotent cell lines, including murine or human hematopoietic, embryonic stem and embryonal carcinoma cells.
